Hole in the wall installation in Croydon
Our installation team had a satisfying Hole in the wall installation in Croydon recently.
The client chose a Nu Flame ICONA 600 hole in the wall gas fire, with coal effect fire bed. Together with the Marfil Deluxe frame. This was to replace their existing stone fireplace with an outset gas fire.
Following our site survey and acceptance of our quotation, we began work to transform their living room. To start, we disconnected the gas supply. Then removed the existing stone fireplace and outset gas fire. We then opened up the chimney to create space for the new gas fire.
Once the opening was the correct width, we blocked up the base to form the support for the fire. The gas supply was run in, and the fire housing was positioned in the chimney opening. Next, the team fitted the gas fire and connected up the gas supply. Testing for leaks and pressure, once all tests were passed the gas fire could be set up. This involves positioning the fuel bed, checking the flame pattern and performing a draw test on the chimney.
Once this was complete, the Marfil Deluxe frame was installed, and the breast was plastered ready for decoration by the client.
