The Climping is an Arts and Crafts design timber mantel surround. Part of the Robert Lynam collection. Simplified from the Hambledon chimneypiece it does not feature the foot blocks of the Hambledon. The removal of the foot blocks makes the piece simpler and the lines of the legs cleaner. Allowing you to appreciate the taper of the legs as they rise from the hearth to meet the column capitals.
